Project Google Plant

I know the title isn't very creative, but that's not the important part. Recently, Google mailed me a letter with some free AdWords credit in it. I couldn't use the credit because my account was older than 15 days, which is a restriction on these free credits Google is handing out. At the bottom of the letter, there was a neat blurb.

PS:This card was printed on 100% recycled paper embedded with wildflower seeds. Plant it in a sunny spot with a thin layer of soil, add water, and watch it grow- while you watch your business grow with AdWords.

So since I couldn't use the AdWords credit to grow my business, the least I could do was plant the envelope and see if it'll actually grow!

First, I traced the size of my pots, which are actually cups I picked up while in Hong Kong.

Traced Letter

Next I cut out a few squares I traced and made sure they were the proper size.

Ready to Plant!

And lastly, I stole some soil from other plants in my house, planted the envelope squares, and added water.

Planted and Watered

I wonder if this will work. I'll post new pictures as soon as I see something sprout out!

Update

These never ended up growing, sadly. I think the issue here was that I should have really shred the paper into confetti before planting them. There's always next time (:
